I didn’t know Julie, but I do know her daughter, Erin, and Julie must have been a wonderful woman to raise such a gracious, spunky, and thoughtful daughter. Julie’s earthly struggle is over, and I hope this brings peace to her family. Rest in Peace.

My heart is breaking with all of you. Julie called on the surgeon I worked with at the Univ of Iowa and then introduced me to Val who has remained a good friend since the early 80’s. I have never known anyone that could light up a room and have that zest for life like Julie did! As a nurse, I am devastated that this horrible disease took Julie from us. I will look to my faith to know she is healed and our paths will cross again.
My life was blessed by knowing Julie and her incredible strength.Mary Fitzgerald (Spaight)
Julie always had wonderful food at Sugar Lake. This link is to some of her favorites. Enjoy and Remember!

I’m thinking of you and know you’ve had such a hard handful of years. I hope you and the kids are able to spend quality time remember all of the wonderful times you had with her. Next round is on me up at Sugar Lake.

I can’t stop thinking of Julie. I am happy for her and sad how hard she would fight every single day. I will miss her but she is better now.

There are no words so I won’t try. We are relieved that the suffering is over, but saddened by this disease that stole this wonderful woman from us. Although we are in MN, we are with you in spirit. Please consider yourselves hugged.

This message is with gratefulness and sadness, Julie. In your seven year journey, you fought like a tiger. It was so special spending days and hours with you in Sarasota last month. We will be together again down the road. – Anita Milnes

Julie was the gift I got to call my sister. We held each other up through life, and she was my blessing. Toward the end of her journey, I told her that I looked forward to having her as an angel to guide me, after she was free from the body that no longer served her. — Amy Peters (Forhan)
